The solution to the problem of waste management is certainly not easy but it is clear however that burying waste landfill or incinerate is undertaking expensive and accompanied by risk is not negligible. The proper approach instead sees in the integrated management, which covers most of the competition modes of operation and collaboration of all individuals and institutions, the best strategy and in compliance with the four priorities introduced by the Ronchi Decree, the rule of "four erre", 'enucleazione process to be adopted: Reduction - Reuse - Recycling - Recovery.

REDUCTION:
Less waste production at source

We must understand and improve our power as consumers, as our choices can guide the general commercial development on eco-compatible products.

Therefore, we should:

• Prefer products with the smallest quantity of packaging material;
• Avoid products in which individual portions to be consumed are separately wrapped;
• Going to do shopping with bags of cotton or jute brought from home;
• Choose loose products, not packaged, for the daily use;
• Prefer eco refills available for some detergents;
  
  

While producers should:

• Use clean technologies in the production of goods that use less raw materials, less energy and less lead waste;
• Designing products durable, easily reusable, recoverable or disposable without risks to the environment;
• Reduce and eliminate unnecessary packaging;
  

REUSE:
The product should be used more times in order to reduce the need for a new one

We consumers can:

• Use a material more times;
• Prefer returnable containers;
• Prefer rechargeable batteries or devices powered both with battery that network;
• Preferred packaging recoverable and reuse it as much as possible at home for other domestic needs;
  

RECYCLING:
The material that doesn’t serve its purpose anymore can be transformed to be useful for another use the consumers have the task of selecting the most different types of waste material by adopting separate collection, so that they can subsequently transformed (turn) into new materials. To realize these things a good selection is essential at the beginning of the cycle, to work without any additional technological steps to remove impurities.

RECOVERY:
Enhancement of the waste to get second field or energy.
Waste not reusable and not recyclable can be burned to generate energy or be used to produce, as second field, other objects completely different from those of origin.
